The National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) reports that Adult Protective Services (APS) receives approximately 251,000 abuse reports on persons aged 60+ each year. Many victims are people who are older, frail, and vulnerable and cannot help themselves and depend on others to meet their most basic needs.
